What does it truly mean to exist?
How do mind and matter relate?
How do we understand time, space, and the purpose that guides each of us?

Encountering philosopher Kwame Gyekye’s 1978 essay ‘The Concept of a Person’ deepened this curiosity. Gyekye examines the philosophical foundations of identity, community, and moral responsibility.

The research forms the foundation of a three-channel film, presented as a triptych. Inspired by Gyekye’s work, it delves into interwoven dimensions of the Honam (body - left channel), Kra (soul - central channel), and Sunsum (spirit - right channel), and how these elements converge to shape the human experience within an African diasporic context.
